ID kit research - what is needed for your field?
- What do you consider to be your medium, style, and services of choice? Describe why you feel that is the case and find some examples that support why your approaches are viable.
- For me, I see my services as UI/UX and graphic design for whatever the company needs. I've worked with a lot of forms of entertainment for TV and music, and I have been told that my style feels very whimsical and childlike at times. I'm fine with embracing aspects of that style, but I also enjoy exploring different styles and challenging myself. Many of the design jobs I have had me making something directed for a younger audience or advertising an upcoming concert or show. So I feel that is where my style comes from mostly.

- What skills, aptitudes, and abilities are current jobs in your field requiring, and how do you think your skills align with them? Please provide links and or citations to where you are gathering this information.
- For graphic design positions, many jobs ask for strong knowledge of the basics of design like color theory, typography, and layout. They also ask for knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite but specially Photoshop and Illustrator. For UX/UI positions they ask you to create wireframes and mockups. As well as knowing prototyping programs like Figma, Sketch, or XD. Some ask to possibly have knowledge of HTML and CSS, but it is not necessarily required just recommended. Personally, I feel that through my time with internships and school has helped me align my jobs with these positions.

- After you graduate, what would you (either as a freelancer, employee, or business owner) offer that no one else in your market can? What would be your brand's unique value proposition?
- I tend to struggle with this question due to having some poor imposter syndrome, but I feel that I can bring my empathy and personal experiences to the market. Coming from my background as woman of color, I strive to understand alternative perspectives and making sure that all applications are accessible for people to use.
- Ideally, what kind of clients/industries would you like to serve and work with, and why? Please provide links to a few examples.
- I would love to work in entertainment! Whether it would be through something big or small, I want to create something for others to enjoy and possibly see their own experiences in.
- Some places I would for is Meow Wolf, Breckenridge Film Festival, Live Nation, and Cartoon Network(but that's dreaming big!).
- Through your research, please list the problems you are most interested in addressing after you graduate and why.
- I would love to be part of creating more platforms where people are able to tell their stories when I graduate. But from a more personal perspective I want to continue to challenge myself, I love learning and I want to continue strengthening in my design and communication skills after I graduate.
- Based on your research, what attributes and services do you think you would need to offer to be competitive in your envisioned marketplace?
- I think having larger skill sets helps with making yourself more marketable due to being able to do a variety of different jobs and communicate in several design languages. I also thinking being adaptable helps with making yourself stand against others in this field.
